Aries (21st March to 19th April) 

Aries – we hear that you can be easily bored sometimes, so we’re suggesting that you spice things up this August with a trip to a new member of Restaurant Week, Chit 'n’ Chaat! Their £20 offer includes a small plate, curry and side, with dishes like Punjabi samosas and paneer kadai on offer.

Taurus (20th April to 20th May) 

Comfort and calmness are priorities for the Taurus star sign, so what better venue to keep these homebodies happy than Marco Polo? This Dean Street staple will be serving up two courses for £20 or three for £25, with timeless classics such as tuna carpaccio, pan-fried chicken breast and summer fruit cheesecake on the menu. Gemini (21st May to 20th June)

Geminis, we know you’re a curious bunch, so this August we’re sending you to a brand-new venue – 12 Muqam. Specialising in Uyghur cuisine, this Stowell Street eatery brings the flavours of China’s Xinjiang province to the Toon with their fantastic £15 offer. Try samsa (baked buns filled with minced lamb and onion), taste test some korma noodle (dry stir-fried handmade noodle with beef and mixed veg) or give some fig jam yogurt a try!

Cancer (21st June to 22nd July) 

According to our star sign experts on the internet, Cancers are sensitive souls seeking comfort, and we think Blackfriars Restaurant is a pretty good place to find it! Don’t worry, you won’t need to pull any crazy Mission Impossible stunts like fellow Cancer Tom Cruise to enjoy their Restaurant Week offer – there are two £25 offers and a menu full of crowd-pleasing courses, so just make sure your table is booked!

Leo (23rd July to 22nd August) 

Ahh Leos! We hear you’ve got big personalities, and perhaps a little love of luxury? There’s only one venue to send you to this Restaurant Week then, and with its jam-packed awards cabinet, it could only be 21! Your taste for the finer things in life pays off here, where you’ll dine on delicious dishes, with two courses for only £25.

Virgo (23rd August to 22nd September)

Apparently Virgos are big on attention-to-detail, so this Restaurant Week we’re sure they’ll appreciate the carefully perfected interiors on DOOD on Newcastle Quayside. Both venue and menu are inspired by the ancient flavours of Persia and the Levant, with each of its dining rooms nodding to the journey travellers would take along the Silk Road. Oh, and that’s not forgetting that there’s a £25 offer to enjoy while you take it all in!

Libra (23rd September to 22nd October)

Libras – you’re full of compassion, and have an eye for those aesthetics, but you’re not always the best at making decisions. Well luckily for you, tapas dining at new venue Cocochine means you won’t have to! Their £15 offer is perfect for ordering loads of food with your pals, getting some good pics for the ‘gram, and catching-up over tasty food.

Scorpio (23rd October to 21st November)

Loyal, compassionate, and sometimes just a little bit spicy, we’re sending you Scorpios to Khai Khai! This Indian restaurant has been a Queen Street staple for the past five years now, gaining considerable popularity for its unique menu inspired by the traditional preparation of Indian comfort food using fire and smoke. Even better, during August’s Restaurant Week, Scorpios can feast with a £25 offer that includes a pre-starter, small plate and heritage dish and side.

Sagittarius (22nd November to 21st December)

Sagittarius foodies! Not only are you friendly folk, but you love to explore – so why not expand your tastes this Restaurant Week by trying out Restaurant Week newbie KOZLE? This modern Turkish grill in the heart of Newcastle is offering three delicious courses for £25, with everything from patlican ezme (chargrilled aubergine with tahini, yogurt, garlic and olive oil) to lamb shish to enjoy.

Capricorn (22nd December to 19th January)

The responsible friend in the group, and perhaps sometimes a little workaholic, we think you Capricorns deserve to treat yourselves this Restaurant Week. And since you’re probably the ones making the booking, why not head to Hibou Blanc? Feast on two courses for £20 or three for £25, and relax over dishes like slow cooked porchetta and spiced comice pear.

Aquarius (20th January to 18th February) 

Aquarius is known for being friends with people as different to them as possible, so for Restaurant Week, we’re challenging them to visit a venue they might never have been to before! Introducing Jack Thai, an authentic Thai restaurant that’s dishing up two courses for just £15 this August.

Pisces (19th February to 20th March) 

And last, but by no means least, Pisces. We could go for the obvious choice and give you a seafood venue, but where’d be the fun in that?! No, this Restaurant Week, we’re suggesting that you romantics head to St. Vincent and enjoy two courses for £20 or three for £25. With an intimate atmosphere and location that’s just a stones throw from the Tyne, you’ll be left fantasising about this venue until next Restaurant Week!
