Super League's Magic Weekend
Super League’s Magic Weekend is a weekend-long festival of high-class rugby league which has found its spiritual home in Newcastle and at St James’ Park.
An event where every team in Rugby League’s Super League travels to one city and 6 matches are played over one weekend, Magic Weekend was hosted in Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Manchester before arriving in Newcastle in 2015, and the city has hosted a further five Magic Weekends since as it proves tremendously popular with players and fans!
With fans of all 12 teams descending on one city to celebrate a carnival of Rugby League over the weekend, the event is a huge boost for the Newcastle’s economy, with more than 60,000 attendees each time Magic Weekend visits, ensuring the city is alive and buzzing with excitement.
This year’s event takes place on June 3rd and 4th and features some fantastic stand-out games.
