Bread making for Beginners: Blackfriars Restaurant

This Event has passed

Let Blackfriar's master baker introduce you to proper home-made bread that is both delicious and nutritious; you’ll learn the basics, make up to four different loaves and hopefully never go back to shop-bought bread again!

Proper bread should be made from just flour, water, yeast and salt - and nothing else! Blackfriar's bread-making courses follow this ethos using locally-milled stone ground flours to produce wonderfully delicious and nutritious bread. They take place in the Workshop facility and are relaxed, informative and fun.

By the end of day you’ll have produced up to four breads, both savoury and sweet, to eat or take home together with recipe cards for your own home bread making. All dough is hand-kneaded and aprons are provided though it’s best to dress casually and comfortably as bread-making can be a messy activity!

These courses always sell out really quickly so book your place now!

Friends and family are very welcome to join the workshop participants for their three course lunch, a glass or two of wine and coffee.
