NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week makes a welcome return to the city from 4th August to 10th August and there are tonnes of great hotel restaurant dining deals to enjoy.

Whether you’re a North East native or happen to be visiting Newcastle during Restaurant Week and are in the mood for a great dining deal during your hotel stay, we’ve rounded up the best hotel Restaurant Week venues for you to try – read on and get booking that table!

Hotel du Vin & Bistro, City Road

The bistro at the Newcastle branch of Hotel du Vin (pictured above) is serving up some tempting deals this Restaurant Week with two courses for £15 or three for £20. Kick off your French feast with starters like oven-roasted garlic frogs’ legs followed by mains including ‘Merlu au Beurre Noisette’ (brown butter baked hake with samphire, cucumber and mace croutons) and a classic crème brûlée or French cheese board to finish.

Quay7 at Copthorne Hotel Newcastle has a fantastically wallet-friendly deal this Restaurant Week, offering two courses for only £15. With starters like roasted chicken wings and calamari and mains including smoked trout salad and vegetable hakka noodles, it’s a varied menu with something for everyone to enjoy!

Dakota Grill, Quayside 

Newly opened boutique hotel Dakota Newcastle is taking part in Restaurant Week for the first time this summer with a concise yet tempting two courses for £25 deal representing the best of its regular menu. Sample starters like smoked salmon with romesco, orange and dukkah and mains including cornfed chicken with hasselback potatoes, peas and ricotta and make this new hotel restaurant your new favourite dining haunt!

Social Bird Social Bird

Social Bird, Fenkle Street

Located with Hotel Indigo Newcastle, Social Bird is a chicken lover’s paradise and its two courses for £15 or three for £20 is bound to please! There are lots of poulet-pleasing options on its Restaurant Week menu including a chicken bone broth starter and its signature chicken schnitzel, but some fantastic veggie and vegan options too! And who couldn’t be tempted by their desserts – sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie included!

The Maven, Castle Garth

Located in a grandiose building a stone’s throw from the Quayside, The Vermont Hotel is pure luxury and that extends to its restaurant The Maven too. This Restaurant Week, get two courses for £15 or three for £20 and feast on the likes of smoked salmon starters and mains including slow-roasted shoulder of lamb or baked sea bass. And for dessert? We’ve got our eyes on their rich chocolate fondant, served with vanilla pod ice cream.

Gino D’Acampo Restaurant, Quayside

Quayside hotel INNSiDE by Melia boasts a gorgeous branch of Gino D’Acampo Restaurant with an impressive interior dining space and a terrace ideal for summertime al fresco dining. Their two courses for £20 or three for £25 deal is dishing up some delicious Italian fare this Restaurant Week too with the likes of bruschetta starters, pasta mains like trofie al salmone affumicato and desserts including a classic Italian tiramisú – and what’s not to love about that?

Shark Club Shark Club

Shark Club, Gallowgate

Located in Newcastle’s Sandman’s Signature Hotel, there are tonnes of delicious dishes to try with Shark Club’s two courses for £15 or three for £20 deal. To start, their chicken wings are legendary and their main course offerings include plenty of burger and pizza options, followed by decadent desserts like chocolate fudge cake and sticky toffee pudding. Our bellies are already rumbling at the thought of it!

Grain & Grill,  Newgate Street

Newgate Street hotel Maldron Newcastle is offering a fantastic deal this Restaurant Week with a two courses for £20 or three for £25 offer. Their continent-spanning menu includes starters like mushroom arancini and Greek keftedes, mains like a Buddha bowl and chicken parmigiana and desserts like cherry chocolate tote and Eton mess sundae – sure to delight anyone staying overnight!

Chez Mal, Quayside

A fancy affair awaits at Malmaison Newcastle this Restaurant Week, with their two courses for £15 or three for £20 deal. Enjoy starters like creamy spiced sweetcorn soup and sticky beef fillet noodle salad, mains including pan fried hake and their signature Mal Burger, and desserts like crème brûlée and pineapple carpaccio – your belly will thank you with a feast like that!

The Hudson, Neville Street

Last but by no means least, The County Hotel’s resident restaurant The Hudson boasts not only a sumptuous interior but an amazing two courses for £15 or three for £20 offer this Restaurant Week – perfect for guests staying overnight. Choose from starters like a classic Caesar salad and mains including The Hudson’s signature burger and don’t forget about dessert either – Sicilian lemon cheesecake or mixed berry Eton mess, anyone?
