Modern Asian cuisine is the name of the game at Aveika and this Restaurant Week, diners can get three courses for £20 with starters like tebasaki chicken wings and salmon nigiri, tasty mains including glazed salmon teriyaki and chicken katsu and delicious-sounding desserts like the sticky toffee and miso pudding.

Harry’s, Grey Street

On Grey Street you’ll find Harry’s, a city centre staple that ideally located whether you’ve just caught a show at the Theatre Royal or looking to get the party started in the Toon after your meal. £20 gets you two courses here, with plenty of pasta and pizza to keep everyone happy. Choose an appetiser each (spicy beef soup or seaweed tofu soup), before enjoying a trio of starters to share and a main course each with options including bulgogi beef and tofu bibimbap to choose from.

The Bridge Tavern, Akenside Hill

What could be warming this winter than three courses of delicous, locally sourced, seasonal comfort food? Head to The Bridge Tavern and get exactly that for just £20. Start with a bowl of miso soup or crispy chicken before mains including slow-cooked belly pork and chestnut mushroom pappardelle take over. And to finish? Their £20 offer gets you a starter and main or main and dessert and the chance to try fare including Lola's Classic Burger - two beef patties topped with mature cheddar, smoked streaky bacon, shoestring onions, pickles, shredded iceberg leettuce and Lola's sauce, served with a side of triple-cooked chips.

Tucked away on Pink Lane, The Town Wall is a cosy spot perfect for a hearty meal this Restaurant Week with a three courses for £20 offer. Team mains like crispy pork belly or their signature fish and chips with starters like black pudding scotch eggs or desserts including sticky toffee pudding.
