After a sell-out run of North East theatres in 2024, The Cramlington Train Wreckers comes to Newcastle Theatre Royal this summer.
From the same team being Wor Bella, Carrying David and Hadaway Harry, the play follows the eight Cramlington miners who inadvertently derailed the Flying Scotsman during the 1926 General Strike and were imprisoned for 48 years.
An inspiring tale of community, working class solidarity, laughter and heartbreak, The Cramlington Train Wreckers is a must-see in 2026, the centenary of the General Strike.
