The Stand Comedy Club's Village Fête: The Stand

On the 20th May, as the launch party for a summer of unique and exciting events on The Stand Comedy Club's outdoor terrace, we'll be holding our inaugural Village Fête, with great music, stand-up comedy, food, beer and games from 1pm until late.

Come down for all the village classics: tombola, lucky dip, knobbly knees, sweets in a jar, throwing hoops on something or other, bobbing for apples, all hosted by your friendly temporary vicar, the Rev. Joby Mageean. You can also expect fortune-telling from Tinkerbell Dobson, contact with the spirit realm from local mystic Johnny Spoonbender, music from bangin' afrobeat band Ponyland, late DJ sets from Jamie Cook and Jon Cornbill, real ale, sugary confections, oversized vegetables and an ace BBQ from the stunning chefs of The Stand Bistro.
