Seshepenmehyt - Into the Afterlife: Great North Museum: Hancock

This Event has passed

Walk like an Egyptian down to Great North Museum: Hancock because they’ve got an awe-inspiring ancient artefact on loan from the British Museum!

The amazingly preserved coffin of Lady Seshepenmehyt, who lived from 664 BC to 332 BC, will be on temporary display at the museum’s Ancient Egypt gallery until February 2023.

It’s an opportunity to see a wonderful piece of Ancient Egyptian history in the flesh, so pop along and see Lady Seshepenmehyt’s coffin before it goes back to the British Museum in February!
