You’ve won £1,000 !

That was the message left by Blueline Taxis on Marie White’s voicemail, when Chris Moore, Regional Sales Director of Trinity Media Plc, drew her name as the first lucky winner of Blueline Taxis monthly £1,000 Giveaway. But unbeknown to Blueline Taxis, Marie of Shipcote, Gateshead had lost her mobile phone and had no way of retrieving her voicemail messages. Fortunately for Marie, Blueline Taxis Business Development Manager, Mark Kelly, could not understand why she had not responded to his voicemail messages, so he set about trying to find her to let her know of her good fortune. Having searched through their records, Mark concluded that Marie worked for the Ministry at Longbenton. Enquiries of the Department for Works and Pension (DWP) drew a blank, because staff at the DWP could not say whether Marie worked there or not. Undeterred, Mark tracked down the DWP Press Office in Glasgow and asked for their help to unite Marie with her £1,000 cash prize. Marie White said, “When I was asked by work to contact Blueline Taxis, it never occurred to me that I had won Blueline's £1,000 monthly Cash Giveaway. I couldn’t believe it when they told me; and was even more surprised that they had gone to so much trouble to contact me. “I have been to Blueline’s offices to personally thank all the management team for going the extra mile to contact me. It really was beyond the call of duty and I cannot thank them enough for what they did. “It’s not very exciting, but I’m going to use the money to pay off some of my student loan. “Because no-one ever expects to win anything and I am now living proof that someone must win, I have now been in a recording studio to take part in a Blueline Taxis radio advert that will be broadcast in the near future. Its unbelievable that all this has happened, because I lost my mobile phone and won £1,000 in Blueline’s monthly Cash Giveaway.” Managing partner of Blueline Taxis, Ian Shanks, said, “We were worried for a while that we couldn’t make contact with our first winner, Marie White, but Mark stuck in and found her. “It is great to be able to reward one of our loyal customers with a £1,000 Cash Giveaway.
