Another Epic Late-Night Takeover at Life Science Centre

Award-winning Life Science Centre (Life) is going kid-free for another epic late-night takeover during the spookiest month of the year.

Back by popular demand, this latest Life Late session takes place between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday 8 October and promises to be a spooktacular night out with a difference for over 18s.

Adults can explore the centre in the dark in the spookiest month of the year and step into a Jurassic Park style world with The Great Dinosaur Escape, which has been attracting record-breaking visitor numbers since openingThe North’s biggest collection of moving dinosaurs features more than 25 dinosaurs, including a towering 9-metre T.rex, a baby Stegosaurus, and plenty more prehistoric legends.

There will also be some pop-up demos throughout the evening exploring the little talked about private lives of dinosaurs, including how they ‘got it on’…..so get the answers to the questions you can’t ask when there’s kids around!

During this special after-hours event, visitors can sit back in the Planetarium, which is the largest in the North, and enjoy a 360° presenter-led show which will take you through the autumn constellations in the night sky and show you how to find the Andromeda Galaxy.

There’s also plenty of hands-on exhibits to explore including Lightbox, where you can step in Europe’s highest tornado tower, sculpt glowing shapes with a giant string of light, see who can win the sneaky feet challenge and much more.

There will be a par bar open all night and tickets cost £15 or £12 for students and concessions.

Life recently scooped two gold awards from Destination North East England for Best Large Visitor Attraction and Accessibility and Inclusion. This event is the perfect excuse to see what all the fuss is about.
