Heritage Open Days - A Railway Heritage Walk: The Common Room

Join local railway heritage expert Les Turnbull for two-part walk exploring Tyneside's railways courtesy of The Common Room and Heritage Open Days.

Split into two parts, the first part of the walk covers Newcastle's Eastern loop from The Common Room down Westgate Road and towards Newcastle Castle and the High Level Bridge. The second traverses the Western loop, starting again from The Common Room and moving westwards towards Orchard Street, the Stephenson Quarter and Forth Goods Station.

You'll be accompanied by photographer Eric Fisher and get to see historical illustrations of the places you visit and are free to explore The Common Room in between walks and at other times of the day too!

Please note that each walk must be booked separately. To book for Part 1 click here and to book for Part 2 click here.
