Tired of the hard life under human rule, the starving animals of Manor Farm overthrow their master and drive him off the land.
From now on, the animals decide to work together for the benefit of all. It's agreed that all animals are equal, with an equal share of the food and an equal share of the work. Life is good.
The pigs are the most intelligent animals on the farm and it's not long before they become the leaders. Corrupted by the power they have assumed they begin to take on more and more human characteristics. Life on the farm takes a turn for the worse. What will the animals do now that all animals are equal but some are more equal than others.
