Tommy Callaghan the Geordie Jack London: Newcastle City Library

Thomas Callaghan was born in Newcastle in 1924, he became a chronicler of life in Newcastle and accounts of his experiences have appeared in A lang way to the Pan Shop and Tramps Chronicle. He produced vivid and humorous accounts of life in Newcastle in the depressed days of the 30s and referred to himself as Tommy Callaghan, the Geordie Jack London.
