Nutcracker Christmas Market: Discovery Museum

Make for the Discovery Museum Christmas Market this winter outside on the Plaza. This year it will be themed around The Nutcracker, complete with larger-than-life toy soldiers.  

Browse and buy from a range of heritage and innovative crafts, art, food and gifts, whilst enjoying some festive entertainment.

On Saturday 25th November, the market will be joined by The 68th (Durham) Regiment Light Infantry 1814 Re-enactment group, with music from the Salvation Army Band, between 11am and 12.30pm. As well as the chance to meet Santa's Reindeer (Saturday only).

Heaton Voices Choir will be entertaining the shoppers on Sunday at 12pm and 13.30pm.

Children’s Christmas craft activities will be also be available inside the museum, along with face painting and balloon modelling (small charge applies for face painting and balloon modelling).
