NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week: The Best Brunch Spots to Try

The best brunch spots to try out this NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week

Last updated:
Cafe Andaluz

Whether you’re a brunch aficionado, or just fancy trying something new this Restaurant Week, there’s plenty of venues to satisfy those midday cravings.

Is it breakfast? Is it lunch? Who knows! All we know is that it’s an excuse to take advantage of another delicious Restaurant Week deal. So throw away your membership to the breakfast club, ditch the sad sandwiches, and give one of these Newcastle locales a go!

Cafe Andaluz, Grey Street

Top Spanish restaurant Cafe Andaluz has a tempting breakfast-for-two offer prices at £20 that's available between 10am and 11:30am, so ideal for a brunch feast! Choose from the likes of a classic Spanish breakfast, eggs benedict and pancakes with yoghurt - they're even throwing in a fruit juice and hot drink too!

Olive Kitchen, Marlborough Crescent

Whether you’re celebrating Restaurant Week with a fellow foodie friend, catching up with colleagues, or just fancy treating your nearest and dearest, Olive Kitchen is ideal for brunch! Their £15 breakfast-for-one deal runs every day of Restaurant Week from 10am to 3pm, perfect no matter what time you head out! Fill up on tempting dishes like sunny side steak and eggs benedict, any cake from the counter and wash down with a cup of tea or coffee - yum!

EL&N at Fenwick EL&N at Fenwick

EL&N, Fenwick, Northumberland Street

How could we forget about EL&N at Fenwick? For just £15, their Restaurant Week deal includes a main and sweet treat - and with dishes like French toast and their signature shakshuka, plus some decadent cake - it's ideal for brunch fans! Snap a picture of your brunch before you dig into it though, we’re almost certain that this is one you’ll want on the Instagram stories!

Claremont Teahouse, Eldon Place

Those with a sweet tooth will definitely be satisfied after a trip to Claremont Teahouse. This cosy venue is offering a choice of two pancake brunch dishes for £20 this August Restaurant Week, with toppings like bacon and maple syrup, and smoked salmon and avocado on the menu. Even better, there’s buttermilk, vegan and gluten-free pancakes available upon request, so no-one has to miss out.

3SIXTY 3SIXTY

3SIXTY, Rutherford Street

One of 3SIXTY's £20 Restaurant Week offers might be afternoon tea but it's served from midday so we can class that as a late brunch, right? You’ll enjoy all the afternoon classics like dainty finger sandwiches, scones and delicious delicacies like pink raspberry cheesecake and tiramisu choux pastry in the sky-high restaurant, overlooking the whole of the Toon. Talk about a place to people-watch!

FRED’s, Fenwick, Northumberland Street

Say bonjour to FRED’s at Fenwick! If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting before, this modern twist on the traditional tearoom is inspired by founding family member Fred Fenwick’s passion for French culture, so expect all things délicieux! Like SIXTY they're serving afternoon tea from midday - so we're still classing it as brunch-friendly! For £15 per person, you'll feast on a selection of finger sandwiches and savouries, Devonshire scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and a selection of seasonal hand-made patisserie served with a choice of tea or coffee. And, for £20 per person, you can ditch the hot drinks for a glass of fizz instead!

Whoever you’re brunching with this NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week, we hope you have the best time! And if you’d rather stick to the usual lunchtime dining, then of course we’ve got you covered – check out Restaurant Week's top lunch spots.

NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week, in association with Tyne and Wear Metro, takes place from Monday 4th August 2025 to Sunday 10th August 2025. For more information visit: www.getintonewcastle.co.uk/ne1-events/restaurant-week.
