Discover Newcastle's Newest Ibiza-style Club

Last updated:

Newcastle is already known as a city with one of the best club scenes in the world and it’s about to get stronger with this new exciting new addition.

The Lofts is a new 1,500 capacity ‘super-club’ set to open at the old Tiger Tiger and Eden venue on 27 August, bringing some of the most iconic names in dance music to the Toon.

Here’s all you need to know about this impressive new nightlife staple coming to the city...

No expense has been spared to make this club one of the most impressive Newcastle has ever seen, with directors John Dance, Marty Smith and Rob Seaman pooling over 30 years of music industry experience together to create something special.

The Lofts boasts 3 separate rooms, a ground breaking sound system from L-Acoustic and a state-of-the-art, fully immersive light and visual show - truly earning it’s ‘super-club’ title!

The club is set to take this year’s August bank holiday to a whole new level with it’s launch night celebrations. Legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong will be headlining the mega party, alongside Horse Meat Disco, Charlie Hedges, Mighty Mouse and Natasha Kitty Katt.

There’s also local DJing talent on the bill, with residents John Dance, Jonny Burn and Kev Cannon getting behind the wheels of steel to keep the vibes going all weekend long.

One of the three directors, Rob Seaman, has worked within the famous Balearic Islands dance scene since the early 90s. His impressive CV includes time as the director of Cafe Mambo, VIP director at Ibiza Rocks and working alongside Sweedish House Mafia at iconic Ibiza club Pacha.

With this incredible experience under his belt, he’s looking to bring a little bit of that authentic Ibiza club magic to the Toon.

Speaking on the launch of The Lofts, Rob said: “Our aim is to build on the excellent reputation Newcastle already has and raise its profile still further.

We are booking international artists from different genres and can mix up the styles on the same night in the different rooms.

We will have something to offer everyone at The Lofts and look forward to welcoming music fans not just from the local area but from throughout the UK.”
