Tapas Revolution Launch a ‘Season of Sharing’ this Spring

Tapas Revolution is declaring Spring a ‘Season of Sharing’ with the launch of Group Fiesta menus, as well as five new paella dishes on 9th April.

The end of winter signals the start of Spain's party season and founder Omar Allibhoy will be continuing his ‘Tapas Revolution’ by bringing the Spanish party to Newcastle with the launch of sharing paellas and Group Fiestas that include traditional Spanish entertainment complete with flamenco dancing and classes, cocktail making lessons and churros & chocolate fondue.  Let Tapas Revolution transport you and your friends and family to Spain this spring.

The ‘Season of Sharing’ is brought to life with the launch of bespoke Group Fiesta packages at Tapas Revolution for a party with a Spanish twist. Groups are invited to celebrate special occasions with a selection of three party offerings: Finger Tapas and Paella Bowls, Tapas Feast, and Tapas & Paella Fiesta.

The Finger Tapas and Paella Bowls package is ideal for drinks parties and comes complete with cocktails, Spanish-inspired canapés and the option to add party-friendly individual bowls of paella. The Tapas Feast package features a set-menu of seven all-time Spanish favourites (full menu below).
For the ultimate paella party, guests can indulge in a Tapas & Paella Fiesta menu of classic tapas dishes plus a choice of sharing paella. Guests will then be able to add churros and chocolate centrepieces to the table. A platter of home-made churros and fresh strawberries will be served with a pot of molten milk chocolate for dunking, making for a delightfully decadent sharing dessert. The menus are available for groups of 12 or more and guests can enjoy Spanish cocktail making lessons and flamenco dance classes on request; perfect for birthdays, graduations, hens, stags, or simply a night out with friends.

To further embrace the new season, Tapas Revolution will be introducing new paellas available in two sizes for two or four to share - the ideal showpiece for meals and gatherings with family and friends. Omar Allibhoy has recreated his own family recipes for five new variations of the classic rice dish on the menu.

The spread features Paella Valenciana (made with Chicken, Green Beans, Artichokes, Red Peppers and Rosemary), Paella de Verduras (including Seasonal Vegetables), Paella Mixta (a combination of Chicken and Seafood), and Paella de Marisco (Seafood Paella with Squid, Tiger Prawns, Mussels). Each paella will be made with Albufera rice, handmade stock, saffron, smoked paprika, and served in the traditional wide-bottomed pan from which the dish gets its name so that guests can eat together in true Spanish style. Tapas Revolution will also be offering Arroz Negro (Black Rice), a creamier style of paella made with squid, squid ink, tiger prawns and served in a traditional terracotta pot.

Omar says: “For us in Spain, the return of spring is when we take our paellas out and start cooking outdoors. Gathering around the paella pan to eat is a family and community activity, as almost all Spanish social life revolves around food and drink.  In fact, there is no occasion too small for Spanish people to get together with friends and family to celebrate with lots of good food, drinks, and paella and churros of course! I’m excited to introduce the new paellas and Group Fiestas to Tapas Revolution so that our guests can eat together and celebrate together in true Spanish fashion. After all, the Spanish invented the Fiesta… We also invented the siesta - we had to, partying properly can be exhausting!”

Tapas Revolution’s ‘Season of Sharing’ launches on Tuesday 9th April. All of Tapas Revolution’s paellas are freshly made to order so guests are asked to allow up to 30 minutes for their paella to be served. The paella pans come in sizes for 2 and 4 so please note paella must be ordered in even numbers. The restaurant will also be launching a vegetarian set menu on the same day.
