Professional Beauty Awards 2024 Winners Announced, Newcastle's City Retreat Among Awardees
The best businesses and individuals in the beauty and spa industry were recognised at the Professional Beauty Awards 2024, a black-tie event held in Grade II listed venue The Brewery, London, on Sunday, March 3 with Newcastle's own City Retreat scooping a prestigious award.
The Professional Beauty Awards are the longest-running and best-attended awards for the beauty, spa, nails and aesthetic medicine industries, recognising outstanding customer service, treatment delivery and innovation.
More than 600 leading beauty industry figures gathered in London to celebrate the finalists and winners.
The awards are judged by independent industry experts and every shortlisted salon, spa and clinic was interviewed by a member of the judging team. Therapists all attended a final in London for a live trade test and interview with judges.
The Awards were presented following a Champagne reception and gala dinner. Simon Brodkin hosted the ceremony and guests enjoyed the post-awards party until the early hours.
Introducing the awards on the night, Eve Oxberry, editor of Professional Beauty magazine, said:
“The Professional Beauty Awards have been running for 27 years now so we know what a great beauty business looks like. We know that with increasing competition in the market – and not always from people who are as well trained or qualified as we would like them to be – it’s more important than ever to shine a light on the people and businesses that are doing it right.
“These awards are all about raising the profile of the businesses and individuals who are setting new standards in the beauty and wellness industry and showing the rest of the world that beauty and spa is not a profession to be taken lightly.”
