Nurses and Paramedics Given a Free Pass to The Great Market Caper

Organisers at The Great Market Caper have announced that nurses and ambulance service staff will be granted free entry to the next event this coming Saturday, December 3rd. The Caper kicks off at 6.30pm and runs to midnight, with a fantastic range of food and bars, and entertainment including live bands and comedy, dance lessons, and DJ sets including 80’s Classics, 90’s anthems, and lots of disco floor fillers. The festive fun all takes place under one roof in the city’s Grainger Market, decorated, lit, and transformed from its more familiar daytime appearance.

Organiser Sean Bullick said “The Caper is first and foremost a great night out, as everyone who has been to one of the previous events knows. It’s also does a brilliant job as a platform to support local talent and communities including bands, performers, chefs, comedians, and young entrepreneurs. We’re not meaning to be controversial, we just felt that post-COVID and with all the cost of living issues, now was the time to show the nurses and ambulance service staff our support by making a tangible, albeit small, gesture of thanks for all they have done over the last few years. We look forward to welcoming them to what will be a really special night.”

Because it’s a Christmas special, nurses and paramedics, along with all the other Caper revelers, will be able to enter teams for Clarkie’s Christmas Caper Quiz, hosted by Newcastle legend Lee Clark, with a prize hamper worth £100 for the winners.  Winning or not, everyone will also be able to get into the holiday spirit with a “special” from the Caper’s unique, touring Festive Tipples Trolley.
