Newcastle's Bonbar brings Sunday Brunch to the City

A day party like no other is set to shake up the North East party scene this winter with the launch of the region’s very first brunch club, Famous Last Words at Bonbar at The Assembly Rooms. With inspiration taken from brunch capitals including Dubai, Paris and London, the exclusive event on Sunday 29 November 2015 will host an exciting mix of fine dining, exquisite champagnes and spirits and captivating entertainment at the premier bar, restaurant and late lounge. From 2pm until late, some of Newcastle’s best-known DJs will be taking to the decks in Bonbar through to the early hours, with special performances from Johnny 'Blue Hat' Davis on sax and one of a kind burlesque duo the L'Shiela Sisters. Emily Berry, Bonbar and The Assembly Rooms’ sales and marketing executive said: “We are always looking for ideas to offer something a little different to our customers and are so pleased to be able to bring this unique event to Newcastle with the launch of our brunch club. “Having spent the summer season in Marbella working at the resort’s top venues, our Promotions Manager Tom has great experience in hosting luxury all-day parties. We can’t wait to spoil our guests with a selection of fine food, drinks and entertainment in the heart of the city. It will be an event not to miss.” Tom Clark said: “The hospitality scene in Newcastle is one of the best so it’s the perfect place to launch a brunch club for both our loyal North East following and visitors from further afield. We’re looking forward to welcoming them all this month to celebrate with us in style.” The debut winter brunch is sponsored by local jewellery brand Chained & Able, Manchester’s Risk Couture, Black Velvet Lingerie and Elit by Stolichnaya, and is in association with Off The Rails South Shields hair and beauty boutique, Newcastle’s Le Beau Ideal, Patrick Forster Barber Shop and Veuve Cliquot. A selection of table packages are available to book, ranging from bronze up to platinum featuring seafood and meat platters, drinks refreshments and front row seats to enjoy the entertainment. Vegetarian options are available on request. Non-dining tickets are also on offer with entry to Bonbar from 2pm priced at £15.
