NEWCASTLE HELP FRANKIE & BENNY’S IN THEIR FIGHT TO BEAT BLOOD CANCER
Frankie & Benny’s John Dobson Street, Newcastle restaurant held a 70’s Fun Fair last weekend to help beat blood cancer.
Frankie & Benny’s joined forces with the public to raise funds for blood cancer charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Frankie & Benny’s staff dressed as Pink Ladies & T-Birds and transformed the bar area into a fun fair which included games and a candy floss machine for guests to feast on.
Each year Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research prevents people dying of blood cancer and helps stop people developing the disease in the first place.
They improve the lives of patients with cancers such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, believing everyone should be able to live their life to the full. They’ve been working to beat blood cancer for over 50 years and won’t stop until they defeat it.
Frankie & Benny’s area marketing coordinator Lisa Brown said: “We are dedicated to supporting local communities and charities and have initiatives across all of our 250 restaurants throughout the UK. These include sponsoring children’s schools books, community award schemes and fundraising. We’re incredibly thankful for all the donations received over the weekend”
Diners were encouraged to take part in the event and the area raised over £2500 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
