NE1 are Recruiting an Office Manager

The Company

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to join our team as Office Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis, implementing and maintaining our business systems and processes, and working closely with the executive team. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • implementing and maintaining office administrative systems and procedures.
  • updating and managing NE1’s bespoke CRM system, including data management & analysis.
  • assisting with the management of NE1’s experiential marketing sites.
  • setting up and organising induction programmes for new employees.
  • supporting the team in handling their day-to-day issues and maintaining strong relationships with the company’s business members.
  • event administration, and delivery assistance, to support our NE1 Can programme and business breakfasts.
  • handling all enquiries coming into the company by phone and email.
  • offering administrative support to the Executive Team.
  • managing contracts for office equipment and stationery.
  • ensuring health and safety compliance for the office.
  • ensuring GDPR policies and procedures and kept up to date.
  • organising company meetings, events and travel arrangements.
  • helping to manage the company’s IT systems.
  • organising Board meetings and taking minutes.
  • assisting the organisation's HR and finance functions as required by the Head of Finance.


Personal Specification

At a hugely exciting time for the company, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, highly organised and self-starting individual, who is passionate about Newcastle and able to see the potential offered by this position. The role will afford exciting involvement across the Company’s programme, working with a pro-active, engaging and dedicated team. The successful candidate will need to be a quick learner, have excellent IT skills, be able to prioritise their workload and complete work to tight deadlines. The ability to use initiative, have great attention to detail and work independently will be essential.  

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per year depending on previous experience.    

Working Hours: 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hrs per week)

NE1 are currently working to a hybrid model of home-working and office-working, incorporating a set number of office days per week, with the ability to work from home on others.
