The Grinch is Coming to Newcastle Comic-Con!
Newcastle Comic-Con is back at St James’ Park on Sunday 12th November hosting another fun and friendly celebration of all things geeky!
Unleashed Events are back at the Stadium with their second event of the year. Sharon Hall of Unleashed Events said: "We traditionally hold our Newcastle Comic-Con in the summertime, however, we wanted our last event of the year to be even more awesome and Newcastle is just the place to do that!"
Newcastle Comic-Con is the perfect day out for all the family as it is filled to the brim with media guests including Amy Manson (Once Upon A Time, Torchwood, The Nevers), Steven Hartley (The Witcher 3, Sword Coast Legends, The Bill) and Adam Basil (The Last Of Us, Beauty And The Beast, Venom). There will be movie scene attractions, costume characters, gaming and so much more for you to enjoy!
The northeast comic-con has been designed to bring out the mega fan in everyone and there will be plenty of opportunities for those new to the convention scene and for seasoned con-goers to have fun and explore a range of pop culture interests such as superheroes, anime, manga, horror, gaming and Disney. There is everything from comics to dinosaurs, Transformers Bumblebee to E.T, Ironman to retro gaming!
Sharon Hall said: “Christmas is just around the corner, so we are super excited to be bringing the lovable but mischievous green antihero, The Grinch! We will make sure he won’t steal comic-con from us, but he will surely make you laugh and even smile!”
As well as comic book and animation artists and authors there will be vendor tables of comic books, Funko Pops, toys, collectibles, original art and much, much more!
You can even go along dressed as your favourite pop culture character…lots of people do so don’t be surprised to if you see Batman or a Stormtrooper heading towards St James’ Park on the day! If you do come along in costume, there is a costume masquerade with some fantastic prizes to be won!
Sharon Hall said: “This is the last comic-con event of the year and it is a great opportunity to come along and have some fun! Newcastle Comic-Con always has such an amazing atmosphere as everyone is there for a shared interest and to have a good time. Come along and see what Newcastle Comic-Con is all about – meet the celebrities, have your photo taken with your favourite Superhero, browse the smorgasbord of stalls with a vast selection of geeky goodies, dance with your anime friends, and it doesn’t even matter if you come along dressed as your favourite character or simply wear your favourite geeky t-shirt you are going to have an incredible time!”
