Cracking Prizes up for Grabs with STACK Newcastle

A mysterious shipping container which is set to appear in the centre of Newcastle will offer fantastic prizes, to mark the launch of one of the city’s most anticipated venues.

Ahead of the opening of the flagship STACK Newcastle at Worswick Chambers in November, the company is ramping up the excitement with its CRACK the STACK event.

From 5 to 9 November a branded shipping container will take up pride of place at Grey’s Monument, with visitors invited to try their hand at imputing six digits into an ipad, in the hope of cracking open the container.

Every person who enters will get a prize, with a daily large prize for anyone who manages to crack the code.

If nobody wins the star prize it will roll over to the next day, which means that one winner could scoop everything at the end of the week.

To ensure that everyone gets a chance at the big prizes, a number of clues to the digits will be released during the week through STACK’s social media channels and also via the in-car screens of taxi company, Blueline which is partnering with STACK on the promotion.

Everyone who takes part will get three attempts to crack the code and will be told after each attempt if the correct number is higher or lower.

Even if they are incorrect, they will be then given a QR code to scan and enter their own details, where they’ll then be sent information on the prize they have won.

The smaller prizes include STACK branded goodies such as water bottles and coffee cups, £10 STACK gift card and free drinks and food at the new STACK Newcastle. Some lucky winners will also get the opportunity to try out the new Sideshow gaming area with free darts, shuffleboard and karaoke

Those who manage to Crack the STACK will get one of the daily star prizes which range from a STACK VIP card offering a year’s worth of free food and drink in the form of a £2000 STACK gift card, a year’s worth of free taxi rides courtesy of Blueline, a £500 shopping voucher and a Jet 2 Holiday to the value of £3000 courtesy of Hays Travel.

Some of the food vendors who will be at STACK Newcastle are also getting involved with the event, with free sampling during the week.

On Thursday 6 November, newcomer The Cheesy Pig, which specialises in pulled pork street food, will be handing out samples between noon and 2pm while on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November, STACK favourite Acropolis will also be giving out free tasters, along with running their own spin the wheel event to win vouchers.

CRACK the STACK will help set the scene for the much-anticipated STACK Newcastle which will be one of the most ambitious developments to date.

Set across three floors with an outside courtyard, the new STACK will feature eight bars, eight street food outlets, coffee shop, barbers, vintage retail unit and sandwich deli, along with a stage for live entertainment.

STACK Newcastle will also feature Sideshow, STACK’s interactive gaming experience which will be launched in the North East for the first time featuring interactive darts and shuffleboard along with three karaoke booths.

Gemma Dishman, Project Development Director at STACK, said that CRACK the STACK would help create even more excitement about the opening of the new venue.

“We’re incredibly proud to be opening our new flagship venue just down the road from where the STACK story first began,” said Gemma.

“Worswick Chambers has been years in the making — it’s about bringing a beautiful historic building back to life and being part of the exciting regeneration of the Pilgrim Quarter.

“STACK Newcastle will be our biggest and most ambitious project yet, so we wanted to do something bold to mark the countdown. CRACK the STACK is all about building that buzz, getting the city involved, and giving people a taste of the fun that’s to come.”
