Calling all Santa's little helpers – intu needs you!

Pointy hats and candy canes at the ready! Santa has found himself with a shortage of elves this year so he's recruiting the children of the North East to be his official helpers for a magical Elf Run at 9 am on Sunday 7th December, through the malls of intu Eldon Square. Christmas is usually a time of overindulgence but families are being encouraged to get active, get 'elfy’ and get together for these unique 1k indoor fun runs which will raise valuable funds for local children's charities, The Children's Heart Unit Fund at the Freeman Hospital, The Sick Children’s Trust and Global’s Make Some Noise. Entry to the event costs £10 per child, which includes an elf T shirt and hat, an ‘official helper’ certificate from Santa and a runner’s medal. The event promises to be a memorable experience full of fun and laughter for all the family. Adults can join in the festive fun by accompanying their child on the run for free and are welcome to dress as an Elf too! Karen Carr, intu Regional Marketing Manager, said: "Come along and start to feel all Christmassy with family and friends and start to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas by raising funds for such worthy regional local charities who need your support.” To enter visit: www.elfrun.co.uk and be part of something special this Christmas at intu Eldon Square.
