Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle has been named as one of the Top 50 Fit For Foodies Restaurants in the UK.

Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle has been named as one of the Top 50 Fit For Foodies Restaurants in the UK. The list has been derived from more than 325,000 reviews submitted by OpenTable diners taken from over 4,000 restaurants in the UK. Staff at the 72 seat restaurant, which was voted Taste of England in the North East England Tourism Awards last year and a Three Star rating by the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) recently are delighted with the accolade. Andy Hook, managing director at Blackfriars Restaurant and Banquet Hall said:  “We are thrilled with this acknowledgment from OpenTable diners and are proud to know that these diners thoroughly enjoyed their overall experience at Blackfriars and gave us such high marks.” "OpenTable diners are informed, adventurous and, above all, appreciative of unique dining experiences," added Lucy Taylor, head of restaurant relations, OpenTable UK. "These winning restaurants put the wow factor in everything they serve, taking culinary creativity to another level and delighting their diners every step of the way.” For more information about the awards see http://www.opentable.co.uk/m/best-restaurants-for-foodies/.
