Brightons Kassia Zermon aka Bunty, is a unique force best known for pioneering underground experimental vocal loop shows & fronting UK leading Dub act Resonators. Buntys distinctive voice has been championed by the likes of Rodigan, Mark Lamar & BBC6 taste-makers Tom Robinson & Lauren Laverne.
Hard to fit into any box, this ladys influences are huge, bringing her Morrocan-Londoner roots to create her own blend of raw avant-pop music. Live, Bunty uses synths, toys, ukulele, voice, effects pedals & a mash-up of real & made-up languages & brings to World HQ something fascinatingly original.
Bunty has performed at many main UK festivals Glastonbury, Bestival, Secret Garden; & she has played with a huge variety of acts such as Jamie Woon, Shlomo, Kate Tempest & Susheela Raman.
Supporting Bunty is The Ladies of Midnight Blue, an Afro-Latin percussion & brass duet who have performed all over the world for various festivals, charity benefits, peace rallies, and protest marches. Their music consists of powerful and upbeat combinations of percussion, brass, vocal chants, and mbira arrangements that inspires dancing and calls for audience participation. Today, the duet is comprised of Hannabiell Sanders Percussion, Bass Trombone, mbira, and voice, and Yilis Del Carmen Suriel Percussion, mbira. In the last 7 years they have been workshop facilitators and guest artists for youth programs, grade schools, universities, and community organizations. Their art and music workshops focus on community building and raising awareness concerning issues of inequality on all levels.
