This Event has passed
Judi Dench, Cate Blanchett and Bill Nighy give show stopping performances in this mainstream cinematic thriller. When an elderly teacher forms a romanticised infatuation with the newest addition to the facility, it creates for an unusual bond, one which is further pushed to its limits by the fact the married teacher is having an affair with a pupil. The confident, or simply the good friend, plays the role to her advantage and realises she can have everything she wants without actually having to do anything. As the story draws to its powerful conclusion were taken on a roller coaster of emotion which will have you gripping your seat. While the LGBT elements in this film are clear, and debatable, this is also an excellent piece of cinema which simply needs to be watched by everyone! Part of The Sal Lumsden Archive Project (SLAP) Film Club. A way to treasure the lives and history of all LGBT people in the North East. For more information visit http://slap.foundation/.
