
Tyneside Cinema and Durham University present a special three-day programme that pays homage to one of Spain’s most important directors the late Bigas Luna. Organised by Dr Santiago Fouz Hernández (reader in Hispanic Studies at Durham University) and Bigas Luna’s daughter Betty Bigas, the three day programme includes film screeenings, video artworks and themed party with Spanish food menu.
Consol Tura, actress and casting director for Bigas Luna’s films will be present for the Q&As alongside Betty Bigas. Consol launched the careers of Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz and Jordi Mollà casting them for the world-famous Jamón Jamón.
