Having previously toured the UK, and sell-out seasons in Shanghai, New York and more, Black Is The Color Of My Voice arrives at the Tyne Theatre & Opera House this October.
Inspired by the life of Nina Simone, and featuring many of her iconic songs, Apphia Campbell's play follows a singer and civil rights activist - performed by Florence Odumosu - as she seeks redemption after the death of her father.
