The blue plaque for Joe Wilson, "Bard of Tyneside" will be unveiled where Joe was born on the corner of Stowell Street, opposite Rosie's bar.
This will be followed by tea/coffee in the Irish Centre and a talk by Dave Harker who has written an excellent book on Joe.
