Festival of The Girl: Newcastle University

Festival of the Girl - the non-profit event created to empower young girls - is leaving London for the first time and coming to Newcastle this March!

Taking place at Newcastle University's Sports Hall and delivered in partnership with NorthStandard, the festival is designed for girls aged 7-11 and aimed at challenging harmful stereotypes, sparking big conversations early and giving young girls the confidence to explore who they are.

Divided into a morning and an afternoon session, there'll be workshops, interactive activities and talks to enjoy - including a STEMAZING workshop showing girls STEM has no limites and a meet-and-greet with the women of Northumbria Police Forensics.
