Everyday Islamophobia by Professor Peter Hopkins: Newcastle University

Everyday Islamophobia tends to be regarded as low-level or trivial, yet is connected to broader global and states-sponsored forms of power and control. This talk – based on a recently-published book – considers the influence of the Islamophobia industrial complex and how this shapes people’s negotiations of Islamophobia as they go about their daily lives, and explores strategies to challenge and resist it.
