Get set for some fun with your four-legged friends when NE1’s Dog on the Tyne returns this August!
We’re bringing tonnes of fun to the Quayside for your canine companions on Saturday 16th August from 10am to 3pm. Feel zen with some dog yoga and a walk, or get creative with some canine crafts before taking a wander through some marvellous market stalls – including free muscle therapy checks from Get Happy Tails!
And that’s not forgetting that the fastest dog to take on the agility course will win a paw-some prize supplied by Robinsons Pet Store, worth £75!
There’s plenty of other treats available on the day, with Quayside Garden offering free pupuccinos to four-legged friends and free NE1 tennis balls for all of those that complete the walk!
If activities aren’t your thing, we’ve also organised plenty of chill spaces for humans and dogs alike. There’ll be plenty of beds, cooling mats, toys and water bowls to keep those pooches happy. Brand-new for this year, we’ve introduced educational talks. Throughout the day you can learn about a range of doggy details including talks from:
Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter, Get Happy Tails – muscle therapy for dogs, Me & My Dog Running Club – how to run with your dog and Guide Dogs. The talks are free to attend and no need to book, just pop along to the Newcastle side of the Millenium Bridge and learn!
Most Dog on the Tyne activities are unticketed, but if you and your pooch want to take part in the walk or dog yoga you’ll need to book your free spot via NE1's Summer in the City website!
Please ensure that all dogs must be kept on leads at all times at the event unless inside one of the designated activity areas.
