Esther Salamon - Woodland Bird Woman: Newcastle Contemporary Art

Stop by Newcastle Contemporary Art and witness Woodland Bird Woman, the final work of late, great artist Esther Salamon this autumn.

Made posthumously in collaboration with local artist Robert Laycock and Esther's widower David Stephenson, Woodland Bird Woman is a multi-media performance root in the real and surreal that explores notions of death, ritual, memory and remembrance. 

The preview on Friday 26th September (6pm-8pm) includes a short introduction from David Stephenson and Robert Laycock, the first screening of the film and a post-screening Q&A.

The exhibition on Saturday 5th October will be available to view between 12pm and 5pm.
