Norway Tree: Newcastle Civic Centre

The Lord Mayor will invite the Mayor of Bergen to switch on the Civic Centre's Christmas tree lights at a special ceremony on Thursday 4 December at 6pm. Each year the people of the Norwegian city of Bergen, our twin city, present us with a tree as a gift of goodwill. The evening will include a traditional carol service inside the Grand Entrance from 5.30pm and celebrations will move outside to see the illumination of the tree. This is a free event and everyone is welcome to come along.
