New Year’s Eve fireworks: Newcastle Civic Centre

See the New Year in while watching the fireworks in NE1. 31st December 2018 sees the welcome return of Newcastle’s New Year celebrations with a spectacular firework display in Newcastle city centre.
The FREE family-friendly display will launch at 6pm outside Newcastle Civic Centre with a dazzling 15-minute spectacle to music. Newcastle City Council and NewcastleGateshead Initiative are once again teaming up with outdoor art experts Walk the Plank to bring a touch of myth and magic to the celebrations.
Heart North East Drive Show presenter Tom Campbell will be entertaining the crowds at Newcastle Civic Centre from 5.30pm.
Throughout the afternoon the city centre will start to come alive as street theatre and music add to the building buzz and atmosphere of New Year’s Eve.
