Join the Lord Mayor of Newcastle and the Mayor of Bergen for the annual lighting of the Bergen Christmas tree at Newcastle Civic Centre!
For over 70 years, the Toon has received the gift of a Christmas tree from its twin city Bergen as a gesture of thanks for Newcastle's support during World War II and its annual lighting is a must-do festive tradition in our Christmas calendar.
The event kicks off with carols in the Civic Centre's grand entrance at 5pm followed by the lights switch-on at 5:30pm.
