With an eye for tailored suits and music with an alternative twist; award winning acid jazz supremo 'Ray Harris' returns to Hoochie Coochie this month.
Championed by BBC radio DJs Craig Charles (Funk & Soul Show), Paul Miller (Soul Show) & Stephen Duffy (Jazz House); Ray Harris has performed live at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival on BBC, live in session on BBC6 Music and also co-presented BBCs Hogmanay New Year Special. He has also supported some big names such as The Godfather of Soul James Brown, funk legends The Average White Band, Brian Auger, Smoove & Turrell, Denys Baptiste & Jaga Jazzist.

This charismatic keyboardist and vocalist has created a dedicated fan base with worldwide record releases in Europe, Japan and Asia. Ray has toured internationally; recently headlining Indonesia's International Jazz Festival. Other previous prestigious performances include: Penang Island Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Club, i-Jazz Festival, The Hague Jazz Festival, Mostly Jazz Festival and Glasgow International Jazz Festival as well as sold out shows in China, Japan, UK & Europe.
His most recent fourth studio album is now on worldwide release and offers a unique blend of acid jazz, latin, disco, soul and bossa with imprints of a distinctive 60s and 70s style.
