Heritage Open Days - A Musical Party at Bessie Surtees House: Bessie Surtees House

Guess who's stopping by Bessie Surtees House for Open Heritage Days? Only The 1635 Household for a very special musical party!

Dressed in period costumes, they'll be on to display and discuss musical instruments and the role of music in a gentry household in the early 17th century.

There's the chance to hear them play and sing piece from composers of the early modern period including John Dowland, William Byrd and Thomas Tallis too!
