Located on Sumemrhill Grove, the Newcastle Deaf Centre aspires to bring people together by supporting the Deaf community and those local to the Newcastle area.
The centre offers advice, information and guidance - including weekly mentoring and peer support sessions - that aim to empower the local Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing communities.
As part of its ongoing Deaf and social justice advocacy, the centre is also involved in academic research that influences various policy-shaping studies and supports local businesses and tech companies to come up with inclusive solutions to bridging gaps between cultures and communities.
