Mog on The Tyne

Welcome to Mog on the Tyne, Newcastle’s first ever cat café!

We’re right in the city centre to provide you with an oasis of calm, away from work, studies and shopping! What could be better than to retreat to one of the oldest streets in Newcastle city centre and spend an hour with our delightful family of rescued cats, delicious cakes, pawninis and carefully chosen hot and cold drinks; all from local suppliers.

We’re open 6 days a week (Mondays being our day of rest!) and we encourage you to book your visit in advance to get a time slot that suits you and to avoid disappointment.

Have a look around our website to find out what to expect when you arrive, meet our lovely cats, wonderful staff and make a one hour booking with us, or longer if you wish – we look forward to meeting you soon!

WALK INS WELCOME!

We close everyday from 3pm til 4pm for catnaps.

PLEASE NOTE:

Our admission fee is £5 per person (big and little) which ALL goes towards our cats wellfare. It helps us care for the cats and keep the cafe in purrfect conditions for them. This is paid at the end of your visit. Unfortunately without this, we couldn’t afford to run our cafe. We want to thank you all for being so understanding of this, as it helps us immensely!
