This September, we’re inspiring the Toon to stop dining ‘al desk-o’ with the launch of our brand new initiative, NE1’s Lunch Club!
We’re encouraging everyone to get out and make the most of their lunchbreak by teaming up with some beloved city centre eateries to offer midday meals for no more than a tenner. Sounds like the whole office will be jealous…
What is NE1’s Lunch Club?
NE1’s Lunch Club is a brand-new initiative we’re launching this September, in collaboration with over thirty city centre businesses. Every Tuesday, each participating venue will offer a £7.50 or £10 (or both!) lunchtime deal that’s exclusive to NE1’s Lunch Club.
What is NE1’s Lunch Club designed to do?
NE1’s Lunch Club is designed to serve two purposes: give city centre venues a weekly boost, and give you lovely lot the chance to try out some new restaurants or cuisines, without breaking the budget!
We’re hoping that not only will businesses see a valuable impact on their lunchtime trade, but that NE1’s Lunch Club can become a weekly fixture in your calendars too.
When is it taking place?
Diners will be able to join the club every Tuesday lunchtime, with the first edition taking place on Tuesday 2nd September 2025. Timings vary for each venue, so be sure to double check their T&Cs before heading over.
NE1’s Lunch Club is planned to be an ongoing initiative, but rest assured that you’ll have plenty of notice if any venues no longer wish to participate, so there’ll still be time to make the most of their offer.
Which venues are taking part?
Over thirty local businesses are taking part in NE1’s Lunch Club. From Grainger Market favourites like King Baby Bagel and Cubanos, to local legends like Sachins and Twenty Twenty, there’s truly something for everyone.
How much does it cost?
Each venue will be offering discounts of either £7.50 or £10, with some even offering both! It’s definitely worth making the most of before payday, or book a table to celebrate when that hard-earned money hits your account.
How does it work?
It’s super simple to use NE1’s Lunch Club offers. Just visit the dedicated NE1’s Lunch Club page, pick the venue you fancy, double check those all-important T&Cs, and head on over. Sounds easier than meal prepping on a Sunday night, right?
