Chinese Lunar New Year @ Newcastle City Centre
Commemorating the year of the horse, Newcastle’s Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations return to the city centre this month! The festivities will all be kicking off at Bath Lane from 11am with food vendors, stalls, arts and crafts, and fairground rides. At 11:30am, you’ll be able to catch the epic Chinese Lunar New Year parade as it weaves through the city from Grey’s Monument back to Chinatown, where Lion dances, Dragon dances, martial art displays and firecrackers will take over the street. All the performances and activities are free, and there’s plenty for the kids to see and do, so bring the family along! Paul Sinha: 2 Sinha Lifetime @ The Stand
Following the comedian’s triumphant return to the stand-up scene at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe, Paul Sinha is set to take to The Stand stage this month with his latest show 2 Sinha Lifetime. Named as one of the twelve must-see comedy shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2025, and with plenty of five-star reviews to its name, we’re sure he’ll keep you laughing all evening long.

The Fratellis @ NX
Glasgow-hailing rock band The Fratellis are celebrating twenty years of their debut album Costello Music with a set at Newcastle’s very own NX this February. And let’s be honest, does it really get much better than hearing Chelsea Dagger and Whistle for the Choir live?

Fresh from the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom, George Clark joins co-host Max Baledge as they bring their hit podcast The Useless Hotline back on tour! This month, they’ll be at Tyne Theatre & Opera House hunting for a potential new hire, with plenty of fun games and outrageous dilemmas.
