Sign us up!
Greggs
Three words. Vegan. Sausage. Roll. The Geordie institution that is Greggs started a plant-based revolution in 2019 when they dropped their oh-so delicious vegan sausage roll. It quickly became Newcastle’s second biggest export behind broon ale! The VSR was so lush it turned even the most staunch carnivores over to the plant side, becoming one of Greggs’ greatest success stories. It was so popular in-fact that it inspired the bakers in blue to release even more vegan options, like vegan sausage sarnies, ham and cheeze baguettes and the sausage, bean and cheeze melt. Greggs so no sign of stopping in their vegan crusade and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
