Available on weekdays from 3pm to 5pm, you can sip on the likes of a Tinto de Verano (Castillo de Montoro Tempranillo, lemonade, fresh lemon and mint) or a Porterhouse Bloody Mary (Finlandia Vodka, lemon, Porterhouse spice mix and tomato) for just £8 each.

Cocktail Club @ Twenty Twenty

You’ll want to look at joining Twenty Twenty’s Cocktail Club then, where you’ll enjoy ninety minutes of bottomless cocktails (plus loads of other options), with two giant pizza slices for £45.95 each. Running daily from 8:30pm, it’s a solid deal to kickstart your night on the Bigg Market – regardless of whether you’re headed to Cosy Joes or The Points afterwards.

Be At One love Happy Hour so much that they’ve sacked the whole sixty-minute concept off, and offer 2-4-1 cocktails for around six hours instead! Even better, their deluxe drinks are included too, so you can groove away with a Hibiscus Paloma or Absinthe Colada in hand. Timings vary from day to day, so make sure you’ve checked the website before heading into Toon. Grab us a Chilli Mango Margarita when you get there though?

Social Hour @ Victors

With its gorgeous wisteria trees, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re in an episode of Bridgerton with a trip to Victors on Newcastle’s Quayside! Their Social Hour is the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax, and discuss the Ton’s gossip with 2-4-1 on selected cocktails, and a whole host of other deals worthy of Lady Whistledown’s column. Meanwhile, Side staple Moku are transporting us to Hawaii with an impressive cocktail menu that makes us forget all about the drab and dreary Newcastle weather outside! We’re raising a glass to the midweek tipple at Tiger Hornsby, where you can grab two cocktails for just £15 all night long on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Don your flat cap and waistcoat for a Peaky Blinder (Jameson Irish Whiskey, St Germain Liqueur, citrus and fresh cucumber), or try something new with one of their seasonal signatures. We’re just hoping that the Blue Monday tastes as good as the New Order track sounds.

If the glorious Newcastle sunshine has decided to show its face, and you’re looking for a rooftop terrace to soak it all up from, then head over to Chaophraya in Eldon Square. They dish up some terrific Thai food on the daily, but we’re really here to join their Cocktail Club, where talented mixologists serve 2-4-1 cocktails from Monday to Friday between 3pm and 8pm. Whether you’re catching up over a Raspberry Crush, or enjoying a spot of people-watching with a Dragon Eye, there’s plenty to enjoy.

8 Before 7 @ St Vincent

For those that prefer to expect the unexpected, grab a seat at St Vincent’s bar for their 8 before 7 deal. Their selection of wines, cocktails and vermouths changes daily, but regardless, you’ll get ‘em all for only £8 each from Tuesday to Thursday between 4pm and 7pm. There’s some crackin’ snacks and small plates too, should those stomachs start to rumble!

Thirsty Thursdays @ Motel Mexicana

It’s a full on freakin’ fiesta over at Motel Mexicana every Thursday and Friday, where the Latina Cantina pours 2-4-1 cocktails all night long. As you’d expect, there’s plenty of tequila tipples here, from the Cinco de Mayo (tequila blanco, orange juice and fresh lime, topped with a crushed ice ball set on fire) to the classic margarita – but don’t miss out on los clásicos, with crowd-pleasers like espresso martinis and Aperol spritz included too.

Weekly Specials @ WC

Alternatively, why not step back in time with a trip to WC in the Bigg Market? Yes, as the name suggests, this was formerly an old gentlemen’s WC, but it’s since been transformed into one of the Toon’s most beloved cocktail bars, with plenty of crafty concoctions to accompany its unbeatable vibe. If you fancy getting a taste of what they’re about, then join WC from Monday to Thursday between 2pm and 7pm, where their weekly specials offer gets guests two cocktails for just £15 so you won’t be flushing any money down the drain… If you’ll excuse the bad pun.

Margharita Mondays @ Colonel Porters

Margharita madness takes over Colonel Porters every Monday, with six flavours of the good stuff available for only £7 each. Part tavern, part botanical garden, and part rhum bar, this unique venue is ideal for those cosy, overdue catch-ups with your pals. Grab a booth, grab a marg, and you’ll be a regular before you know it.

2 Cocktails for £11.95 @ Central Oven + Shaker

If you’re visiting the Toon and looking to quench your thirst straight from the train, then the friendly folk at Central Oven + Shaker have you covered. Just a stones throw from the train station, they mix two mouth-watering cocktails for £11.95 every Sunday to Friday. And with cleverly named creations like Pomp Fiction (cinnamon-infused Jose Cuervo Silver Tequila, pomegranate puree, Briottet Manzana Liqueur and lime juice), what more could we really ask for?!

Happy Hour Fiesta @ Revolucion de Cuba

Revolucion de Cuba also isn’t having any of this “happy hour” malarky, with cocktail deals available from Monday to Friday between 3pm and 7pm. Offering two cocktails for £12, as well as a whole host of other offers, this fiesta is one you won’t want to miss. And of course, if there’s a sneaky bit of sunshine too, their Santiago rooftop bar is the perfect place to soak up those rays with a cocktail or two in hand.

Mad Happy Hours @ The Mad House

And last, but by no means least, things are getting a little bit mental over at The Mad House! We’d bet that you haven’t really seen a bar like this before, where toilets substitute for sofas, and there’s even a literal ballpit inside. Don’t believe us? Well you’ll have to head on over then, and make the most of their two cocktails for £18 offer while you’re there. You’d be mad to miss it.
