MOJO, The Gate
MOJO’s motto is “good times forever” and judging by their epic happy hour offer, it’s a mantra they certainly live by. Get two selected cocktails for £14, pints of Heineken for £4.50, bottles of fizz for £18, two Beefeater or Absolut mixers for £12 and four shots of Baby Guinness for just £10 – available from 5pm to midnight Sunday to Thursday.
Be At One, Westgate Road
They must be a jolly bunch at Be At One because at this Westgate Road cocktail bar, it’s happy hour every day with discounted drinks available between 5pm and 8pm from Monday to Thursday and between 3pm and 6pm Friday to Sunday. With a 2-4-1 deal on cocktails, £7 glasses of house wine and beer, cider and spirits with mixers for just £5, happy hour at Be At One has something for everyone.
The Botanist, Monument Mall
Why wait ‘til the weekend for a few bevvies when The Botanist’s happy hour runs every weekday? Available between 4pm and 7pm, enjoy any classic cocktail for £8.95, pints of Pravha and Aspall Cyder for £4.95 or a bottle of fizz or house wine for £19.95 and say “bottoms up” at The Botanist.
Las Iguanas, Grey Street
Zingy margaritas, fruity piña coladas, luscious Long Island Iced Teas – there’s a reason Las Iguanas’ cocktails are legendary and with their happy hour you can nab two for just £13. Better yet, happy hour is on all day every day apart from Fridays and Saturdays between 7pm and 9pm.
St. Vincent, Broad Chare
Wine lovers won’t want to miss out on happy hour at St. Vincent. Running Tuesday to Thursday from 4pm to 7pm, the classy restaurant-bar offers a daily changing selection of wines, vermouths and cocktails for just £8 each. And, if you’re feeling peckish, you can take advantage of their fixed price menu deal too with lots of Franco-Italian delights to feast on.
Chez Mal @ Malmaison, Quayside
Perfect for a post-work drink or two, Chez Mal’s happy hour runs from 3pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday with £6 glasses of prosecco, £8 cocktails and £4.50 pints of Cruzcampo up for grabs. And, if you buy two large glasses of wine during happy hour, they’ll throw in the rest of the bottle for free. We’ll raise a glass to that!
Manahatta, Collingwood Street
Collingwood Street bar Manahatta boasts New York-inspired vibes and a brilliant happy hour that runs from Sunday to Friday between 4pm and 6pm with glasses of prosecco, pints of Madri and glasses of house wine available for just £4.50 a pop. They take things up a notch on Friday from 6pm ‘til 2am, however, with Stocks on the Rocks. Dubbed the Toon’s “most thrilling happy hour”, it transforms Manahatta into a stock market where drink prices rise and fall – time it right and you could grab a cocktail for as little as £5!
The Mad House, Pink Lane
The Mad House is famous for its crazy cocktails and we’re crazy for its happy hour deal – available all day every day, no less! Enjoy two of the same cocktail for £18 and sip on madcap mixes like The Duckari (white rum, lime, fruit puree and apple topped with a real rubber ducky) and Disco Ginferno (London Dry Gin, Peach Schnapps, rose, lemon and apple served in a mini disco ball).
Revolution, Collingwood Street
Revolution is another devotee of the “all day, every day” happy hour so you’re guaranteed some fantastic drink deals no matter what time of day you swing by. Refresh with a cold, crisp pint of Amstel or Orchard Yard for just £4 or opt for something a little stronger with Revs’ 2-4-1 cocktail offer – and that applies to ALL cocktails too!
Gino D’Acampo Quayside, River View
Say ‘saluti’ to happy hour at Gino D’Acampo on Newcastle’s lovely Quayside, running from 3pm to 6pm from Sunday to Thursday. Sip on signature cocktails (including a classic Aperol Spritz, naturally) priced at just £7 and Italian beers from just £5 or treat yourself to glass of prosecco for £6.50 or champagne for £11 – saluti, indeed!
Hibou Blanc, High Bridge
As glamorous as it is warm and welcoming, High Bridge hotspot Hibou Blanc does happy hour six days a week – from 12pm to 7pm on weekdays and between 12pm and 3pm on Saturdays. There are pints of lager for a little over a fiver and glasses of prosecco for £6.95 but mixology mavens won’t want to miss out on their happy hour cocktails with select drinks available for just £7.
Turtle Bay, Newgate Street
Take a trip to the warmer climes of the Caribbean with happy hour at Turtle Bay. Available all day, every day, they offer two of the same cocktail for just £13 – meaning tropical sips like Reggae Rum Punch and Jamaican Swizzle can be yours without breaking the bank. The deal includes mocktails too – perfect if you’re looking to swerve the hangover the next day!
Grey Owl, Grey Street
With its gorgeous pavement patio and prime location on Grey Street, Grey Owl is ideal for a spot of people watching and what better time to do that then during happy hour? Grey Owl’s runs between 12pm and 7pm from Sunday to Thursday and 12pm to 4pm on Fridays, offering two selected cocktails for £14. Catch us sipping on a salted caramel martini while watching the world go by.
