The WonderBar, The Gate
Situated in The Gate, WonderBar’s plush moody lighting makes it a perfect venue to enjoy laid back sounds. There’s live music every night, with well-respected local artists rubbing shoulders with touring acts - plus comedy nights, bingo and even interactive darts to keep you entertained! The bierkeller features an extensive drinks menu and they really know their stuff, with a rotating cast of craft beers, fruity ciders and much more. Vampire Rabbit, Collingwood Street
A classy place to enjoy a tipple or two, Vampire Rabbit occupies a beautiful listed building and is an opulent and elegant place to enjoy stylish lounge acts, with live music performed every Friday and Saturday night. Colonel Porter’s Emporium, Dean Street
Paying homage to the original Colonel Jim Porter, creator of Newcastle Brown Ale, this is a quirky venue indeed, and you’ll find vintage cocktails, a fine range of ‘tipsy teas’, real ales and an adventure in rum! Archie’s Lab is the place to be for entertainment, and where you’ll discover a variety of live sounds from acoustic bands to jazz acts and DJs every night.
Tiger Hornsby, Quayside
Sit back with a cocktail and be entertained in this legendary bar in the heart of the Quayside. They take their entertainment as seriously as their drinks, and you’ll find resident DJs as well as live musicians setting toes tapping and heads nodding. Live music takes place every Thursday to Sunday and showcases the very best local acoustic talent. On the bar, there’s award-winning cocktails from expert mixologists.
The Globe, Railway Street

The Dubliner, Newcastle Quayside
And to complete our line-up, we’re heading down to Newcastle Quayside’s The Dubliner.
