The Vermont Hotel has two Christmas Day lunch options – either in its Gold Room or Ballroom, or The Maven restaurant. Both offer three courses – starters like ham hock and pea terrine, festive roasts to follow and desserts including sticky toffee pudding – but cough up a little extra to dine at The Maven and they’ll throw in a kir royale and canapes when you arrive and some mince pies and coffee before you go. We’re sold.
