Having introduced a revamped menu earlier in the summer, this splendid restaurant is the place to visit if you’re keen on sampling a humongous breakfast burger, a haddock omelette topped with creamy mushrooms or the show-stopping croque-monsieur that features hand-carved ham, runny Gruyère cheese, a fried egg and a dollop of tomato jam for good measure. Pair your choice with a Botanist bellini, sample a pink grapefruit and peach sangria or wash it all down with an opulent Lapsang Souchong Cayenne Bloody Mary and you’re onto a winner.






Whether it is the taste of squeezed juices, the smell of freshly-baked Italian artisan breads or the aroma of rich Italian espresso, the little brunch details speak volumes at Gino D’Acampo on the Quayside. Gino’s salute to brunch is a bottomless weekend offer that pulls together top-shelf tradizionale treats such as veggie brekkies, Italian roast ham frittata and smoked salmon Highland scrambled eggs. Alternatively, plump for avocado and toast that’s been littered with chilli flakes or a beautiful breakfast roll with tender bacon and wilted spinach. Simply lush!






You'll find heaps of hearty brunch food at Quay Ingredient on Queen Street, where killer menu items such as grilled Craster kippers, cinnamon pancakes and their delicious scrambled eggs featuring a toasted brioche topped with white truffle oil and rich jam are a sensational tasting experience. A small yet mighty indie spot that has conjured up a huge reputation across the city for its home-made food, other menu highlights include their irresistible cinnamon pancakes (pairing this with a rich flat white is an absolute must!), eggs Montreal and their iconic traditional English brekkie. Expect to find forward-thinking brunch bait options such as soy soaked mushrooms on toast, a gorgeous chorizo hash featuring a fried Hen's egg and fermented onions as well as a simply sensational shakshuka that arrives complete with baked eggs, feta, chilli and sourdough rye. Pair it with one of Horti’s signature percolators and your weekend in the Toon is off to a flyer!






Brunch with the 21 at Fenwick team is an opulent affair. Combining a beautifully airy interior and an extensive menu with cheerful service, 21 at Fenwick is a cracking choice when it comes to brunchin’ it up in the Toon. Morning pick-me-ups include buttery scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, hand-picked mushrooms layered with a soft poached egg and if you fancy pushing the brunch boat out, a delightful cheddar cheese and spinach soufflé. An ideal place for those rushing off for an event in the Toon or indeed for those taking in city life at their own pace.
